I might be going to Australia, and was wondering if my cell phone would work on the flights…like if i could still text etc. and also if it would work there in Australia.

  1. Well your mobile should be ABLE to work on your flight over, to text and such but your aren’t actually allowed to.

    There have been several independant studies that showed that certain mobile phone signals mess with the planes navigational tools

    And as to whether your phone will work, it all depends on which cell company your with, some US providers may have coverage here, using the local providers but the odds are you will have to buy a new SIM card when you get here
