This might be a broad questions, but does anyone know what the recommended vac’s in Australia are for a child? I’m just curious, I remember having a whole bunch of shots as a kid and I can’t remember what they were for.
sorry, I should add I’m in my early twenties, so I’m curious to know for back then, however the ones recommended today I’d also like to know about.

  1. You haven’t said how old you are. New vacs are being introduced as they become available. E.g. Rubella is now given in childhood. When I was at high school (1970) they only jabbed girls for rubella. Others include diphtheria, typhoid, whooping cough, mumps, measles, chicken pox. The most controversial is probably the MMR, measles, mumps & rubella, given at 12 months. Anti-vac folk will suggest this causes a myriad of problems, including autism & global developmental delays. To each there own I guess. My 3 kids were/are up to date with all their jabs.
